DUO FLESZAR

"A first highlight was the concert of the duo Eva-Maddalena Fleszar (violin) and Grzegorz Fleszar (organ) with pieces by Franz Liszt and Johannes Brahms"

- Press review

Duo Fleszar is formed by violinist Eva-Maddalena Fleszar and pianist, organist, and fortepiano player Grzegorz Fleszar. Performing together for many years, the duo has developed a flexible artistic profile shaped by stylistic openness, curiosity, and an interest in context-sensitive performance. Their repertoire spans music from the early Baroque period to the present day and includes works for violin and piano as well as projects involving organ and fortepiano. This instrumental versatility allows Duo Fleszar to adapt their programmes to different spaces and performance contexts.

The duo’s work has been featured on Swiss television, and in 2019 they were awarded at the international Marcello Pontillo Competition in Florence.

In recent seasons, Duo Fleszar has increasingly focused on project-based work that combines performance, research, and discovery. This includes the Swiss premiere of works by Swiss composer Robert Oboussier, previously recorded for Naxos (Musiques Suisses) and subsequently brought to the concert stage. Duo Fleszar appears regularly in concerts in Switzerland and abroad.
